Fire Restriction Information
Welcome to the Town of Gypsum’s Fire Restrictions Information Center. Fire restrictions are implemented in stages to help protect our community, natural resources, and first responders. Each stage outlines specific activities that are limited or prohibited based on current conditions. Use this page to learn what each restriction level means, understand how it affects daily activities, and stay informed throughout wildfire season. Check back regularly for updates and current status.

The Dry Lake Stage 2 Operational Permit and the Gun Club Stage 2 Operational Permit outline the requirements set by the Gypsum Fire Protection District for both facilities to continue operating under Eagle County’s Stage 2 Fire Restrictions. These documents detail safety measures such as temporary closures, vegetation maintenance, fire equipment requirements, parking restrictions, and general operational conditions designed to minimize ignition risks. Each permit remains in effect for the duration of Stage 2 restrictions and emphasizes compliance to ensure safe, responsible use of these recreation areas.
