Town Facility Rental

Looking to host an event on Town of Gypsum property?

The following Town facilities and areas are available for rent/special events at the following rates.

    Lundgren Amphitheater & Lawn 

    Lundgren Amphitheater & Lawn offers both indoor and outdoor rental options. You may rent the entire facility, which includes the stage, backstage, kitchen area, and surrounding lawn, or rent the lawn and stage (exterior areas) only. 

    Please note that no sound or special lighting equipment is available at the Lundgren Theater. The stage is equipped with overhead fluorescent lighting only. The kitchen area is modestly stocked with pots, pans, a coffee maker, utensils, etc., but any tables or chairs will need to be supplied by the event host/renter.

    Fox Den 

    The Fox Den is a kitchen/concession facility with a commercial oven, stove, double commercial sink, commercial side-by-side refrigerator, and concession windows. This facility is available as kitchen access, serving an event on the Lundgren Lawn. This facility is NOT intended, nor available to rent as a commissary kitchen for events elsewhere in the County.

    *The above rates are per-day rates. If your event is multi-day, your rate will be the above fee plus $50 (1-200ppl) or $100(201-500+) per additional day.

    Town Parks/Courts/Pits 

    The Town parks/park structures, pickleball courts, and horseshoe pits are public spaces and are always available on a first-come, first-served basis. These facilities may be reserved and rented only through the application process. Notice of the event dates, times, and area closures to the public will be posted at the location two weeks prior to the event; however, some patrons may not be aware of the notice.

    Please note:

    • Applications for facility rental will not be reviewed or approved more than six months in advance of an event.
    • Applications and all required attachments are due 60 days prior to the event
    • Indoor areas are available for rent only May through mid-October, as they undergo winterization for the cold months.   
    • Rental of any Town facility will not be guaranteed until staff have reviewed your application and a (refundable) security deposit is received in full. All applicants, regardless of agreed-upon fees, must submit their security deposit to reserve any facility or area; no exceptions.  
    • Security deposits are refundable and will be returned without interest within 30 days of the rental date, provided there are no damages to the facility during the rental period.

    To rent any of the above facilities, please review the availability calendar below, thoroughly read and complete the Special Event Permit Application (fillable PDF below), and email the completed application to our Public Works Department at this email address.  

    Once received, staff will review your applications and confirm facility availability. If the space requested is available and your event is approved, you will be notified by Town staff. Staff will also inform you if your event requires any additional permits, information, or a meeting with Town staff. Your security deposit, along with any applicable fees, will be due shortly after submission and approval.
