Project Status: Construction of the WWTP began on 10/24/24. A Public Meeting to inform citizens on the details of the project took place on 10/10/24 at 6 PM at Town Hall. This project is in progress.
Project Description: The existing wastewater treatment plant, located in the Eagle River Estates neighborhood, is beginning to reach capacity. The Town has worked with a designer and a construction manager to develop a plan for reconstruction. Construction is tentatively expected to break ground yet this summer. The new wastewater treatment plant will have the capacity to meet the Town’s 20-year projected growth horizon while meeting the latest regulatory requirements from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) for effluent discharge. The project is anticipated to take about three years to complete.
