Project Description: The Town will install a new 24-inch diameter sewer express line to divert most of the town's wastewater away from the existing neighborhood system in Eagle River Estates, directing it straight to the new Wastewater Treatment Plant. Due to the depth of the sewer line and the likelihood of encountering groundwater, the project will be complex. Once the pipeline installation is complete, the roadway will be repaved with new asphalt over the excavation area. No additional street improvements are included in this project. Funding for this project comes in part from a Colorado Energy and Mineral Impact Assistance grant, with matching funds from the Town.
The project will add approximately 3,100 feet of new sewer line, enhancing the system’s resilience. Construction is expected to begin in mid-summer and will last about three months. Temporary traffic impacts will occur in the neighborhood, with single-lane traffic around the work area as it progresses along the street.
