Gypsum Municipal Court takes place the third Tuesday of every month at 2:00 PM at the Gypsum Town Hall.

Judge Courtney A. Holm presiding. Defendants have the opportunity to speak to the Town Prosecutor, Courtney Edwards, prior to their court date to reach a plea by email or calling 970-668-1678.

Traffic citations, parking violations, animal violations, and Municipal Code violations are heard in Gypsum Municipal Court. All other violations are scheduled for Eagle County Court. Check your ticket for this information.

Citations paid within 20 days of issuance may be eligible for points or fine reductions as listed below.

If your citation goes unpaid after 20 days, or if your violation requires a court appearance: You are required to appear in court at the time, date and place as noted on your citation. Failure to pay the fine or appear in court will result in a judgment being entered against you, all points entered on your driving record, and a warrant may be issued for your arrest. If you missed your court date, you may check here to see if a warrant has been issued for your arrest.

Payments may be made in person by cash, check, or credit/debit card at Gypsum Town Hall, 50 Lundgren Blvd. Please bring your citation with you.

Parking Tickets 

Parking tickets are reduced to $38.00 if paid within 20 days.

If you do not pay your citation nor show up to the assigned court date, your case will be scheduled on the next month's docket.  If not paid after that subsequent court date, your citation will be sent to collections with court costs and an 18% collection fee.

Professional Finance Company, Inc., collects outstanding parking citations on behalf of the Town of Gypsum.  You may pay a citation in collection by calling 855-267-7451 or visiting paypfc.com.

Parking Rules in Gypsum:

  • On-street parking is not allowed on Town streets Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • No on-street parking is allowed on trash or snow days.
  • Disabled parking permits also serve as a Town parking permit.
  • Free parking permits are available from the Community Development office twice a year with certain restrictions. No on-street parking permits allowed on trash or snow days.
  • Service vehicles are allowed on-street parking but are subject to the same restrictions on trash and snow days.

Some covenants in areas of Town DO NOT allow on-street parking at any time including:

  • Cotton Ranch
  • Buckhorn Valley
  • Chatfield Corners
  • Sky Legend
  • Brightwater
  • Willowstone
  • Gypsum Estates

Remote Court Request 

If you reside more than 100 miles from Gypsum Municipal Court, you may be eligible for a remote plea.  You must be available on your court date and time to speak with the Judge and/or the Town Prosecutor.

Remote Court Requests must be received by two weeks before the court date.
