Gingerbread Contest @ the Home for the Holidays event

Get into the holiday spirit with us by participating in the 2025 Gypsum Gingerbread Contest!

Enter the Gingerbread Contest at the Home for the Holidays event (Thursday, December 4th at 5 PM) and win cash prizes. 

To enter, simply bring your creation to the tent outside the Gypsum Library by 5 PM and complete the entry form there. Judging will take place at 6 PM, and prizes awarded when judging is complete. See contest rules below.

Contest Rules : 

  • Creation must be 100% edible. Graham crackers, gingersnaps, candy, or other pre-made foods may be used instead of traditional gingerbread. 
  • No glue or artificial materials such as styrofoam, cardboard, plastic, straws, wood, or metal may be used (with the exception of the base)
  • Your creation does not need to be a house. Any structure or unique design is eligible.
  • There is no size limit, but entries need to be sturdy and able to be moved without consequence.
  • Entries will be judged based on Most Creative in each of the following age categories: Child (age 3-7) Youth (age 8-12) Teen (age 13-17) and Adult (age 18 and up). Each category winner received $35 cash

Please be sure to retrieve your creation at the end of the Home for the Holidays event (7 PM). Entries left behind will be discarded.
